At Family Worship Center, we have a simple hope: to see people come to know Jesus Christ and grow in their Christian faith. For 32 years, we've been helping spread God's good news here in our hometown and throughout the world, and we pray that God will continue to use our congregation. Whether you've been attending church for years or haven't stepped into a sanctuary in decades, we hope you'll come and join us Sunday if you're looking for a church in Grass Lake, MI.
When you come to join us for the first time, one of our greeters will be glad to help you get aquatinted with our facility. If you'd like, they'll help you find the nursery (which is fully staffed by people who are background checked), restrooms, sanctuary and, of course, snacks after the service.
During the service, you'll hear our faith expressed in the songs we sing, prayers we offer up and our pastor's preaching. All parts of our service are grounded in the Bible, which we are committed to upholding.
After the service, join us for a cup of coffee and snacks to give us a chance to get to know each other. Say hello to Pastor Kenny and anyone else you see. We'd all love to hear your story and share ours with you.
No matter what your Christian background is (or isn't), we hope you'll join us on Sunday. Our service start at 10:00 A.M. every Sunday.
Our Beliefs
We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God. That the Bible was given by the inspiration of God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter on one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe in conversion, which is the renewal of life at its deepest level through repentance and trust in the forgiveness of Christ.
We believe that conversion places us in the church, the body of Christ.
We believe in Christian unity, which is our solidarity with all Christians.
We believe that Christ will come again at a time of God’s appointing and that he comes to take his church home to be with Him and in judgment.
For the Church of God, living our beliefs in a servant life-style is of high importance.
Through the avenues of preaching, teaching and singing, we have consistently affirmed that the written source of doctrinal authority is the Bible.
We strive to remain biblically based without becoming creedal. The Bible is central in our teaching. To it we go for the basic content of the teaching-learning experience.
